About the California Earthworkers Summit
The California Earthworkers Summit (CES) is a statewide gathering designed to reconnect, recharge, and strengthen the foundation for a growing network of Earthworkers. We bring together Earthworkers from across California to exchange knowledge, tools, and practices rooted in care for land, people, and place.
This summit centers rest, relationship-building, and community-guided planning laying the groundwork for ongoing collaboration and the 2030 Global Earthworkers Summit.
California offers the perfect foundation for launching this summit. As a global leader in agriculture, technology, culture, and collaboration, California brings together powerful forces across stewardship, innovation, conservation, education, and storytelling. CES creates the conditions to shape a future grounded in care, responsibility, and collective action.
Who We Gather For
The California Earthworkers Summit is a gathering ground for those rooted in the care of land, food, water, air, fire, culture, science, and community. We uplift voices and experiences grounded in place, tradition, and connection — cultivating a shared environment for learning, healing, and collective growth.
We welcome and honor:
Farmers, ranchers, fishermen, horsemen, and urban growers
Foragers, mushroom cultivators, herbalists, seedkeepers, beekeepers, and winemakers
Water stewards, water protectors, and ocean defenders
Food workers, chefs, bakers, and cooperative builders
Scientists, educators, researchers, and environmental stewards
Air quality experts and climate resilience leaders
Fire practitioners, cultural burners, and land restoration workers
Artists, storytellers, musicians, and cultural workers
Youth leaders, elders, and wisdom keepers
Policy advocates, organizers, and land defenders
Composters, soil builders, regenerative farmers, and mycologists
Controlled Environment Agriculture innovators and agroecologists
While we honor and make space for the leadership, experiences, and cultural practices of land-connected communities, we welcome all who share a commitment to care, respect, and shared well-being for people and the planet.
Why We Gather
We gather to reconnect with our roots, tend the land, and shape the future. We come together to build, to honor ancestral wisdom, and to nourish strong, thriving communities.
Through this work, we:
Honor the past
Educate the present
Plan the path forward
At every workshop, around every table, and across every acre—we are cultivating liberation, one seed at a time.
