Q: Is the summit open to the public?
A: Yes! The summit is open to all earthworkers.
Q: How can I help spread the word about the summit?
A: We’d love your support! Share our Save the Date video, flyers, and social media posts. Email us for a digital outreach kit with ready to share content.
Registration
Q: How can I register or bring a group to the event?
A: Group registration will be available when general registration opens. To bring a youth or organizational group, please contact us directly in advance.
Q: Are scholarships available?
A: Yes! Scholarships are prioritized for land stewards and youth who may face barriers to participation, but they are also available to community members on a rolling basis.
Sponsors & Donors
Q: Are sponsorships tax deductible?
A: No. Sponsorships that include public recognition (e.g., logo placement or tabling) are not tax deductible, as these are considered benefits received.
Q: Are donations to the summit tax deductible?
A: Yes. Donations made directly to the summit or paid on behalf of the organization toward line item expenses are tax deductible through our fiscal sponsor.
Q: Who is your fiscal sponsor?
A: California Earthworkers Summit is fiscally sponsored by Square One Foundation, a registered
501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept checks, wire transfers, all major credit/debit cards, and Apple Pay.
Q: Can my organization contribute in both ways?
A: Absolutely. You may choose to make a tax deductible donation and also sponsor the event for visibility.
Q: How will sponsors be recognized?
A: Through printed materials, signage, the website, social media, event programming, and more.
Q: Will my organization be recognized at the event?
A: Yes. Recognition is provided based on sponsorship tier, and includes verbal acknowledgments and visual branding.
Q: Can I sponsor a specific part of the event?
A: Yes! We welcome targeted sponsorships (meals, panels, youth programming). Contact us for a breakdown of current needs.
Q: How will my contribution be used?
A: Contributions fund meals, travel, youth programming, honoraria, lodging, and other key areas that ensure an inclusive and accessible event.

Conference Details
Q: Can I table at the summit?
A: Yes, tabling is available through a tiered fee structure based on entity type. Sponsors at $1,500+ automatically receive an exhibitor table, and those at $2,500+ may also host a workshop. If you're interested in tabling or leading a session, please contact Madison Medina at mmadison@sqof.org
Q: Will there be youth programming?
A: Yes! We will have youth focused sessions featuring hands-on learning and intergenerational exchange.
Q: Will media be present at the conference?
A: Yes. We are coordinating with local and statewide outlets. Media partnerships and joint press releases are welcome.
Q: How else can I get involved besides donating?
A: We welcome volunteers, workshop leaders, performers, and community collaborators. Let us know how you'd like to engage.
Policies & Media Notice
Q: Will I be photographed or recorded Summit events?
A: Yes. By attending the summit and summit related events, you consent to photography, video/audio recording, and post event communications. Media may be used for promotional or educational purposes by CES and its partners.
